Whakatauki meanings- Home room

                                                             Whakatauki

This week in home room the class has been working on a DLO to show a whakatauki (This play's a large role in Maori culture. They are used as a reference point in speeches and also as guidelines spoken to others day by day. We had to create some kind of DLO and I created a google drawing. We had to add images/image that related to the meaning of our whakatauki.

Open steak sandwich's and Rice paper spring rolls

                                 Open steak sandwich's

 Ingredients:

Steak, Bread roll, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sauce.

How we made it:

We cut every thing up (diced the vegetables) and sliced the steak we then we soaked the state in a dressing and cooked it. We then put it inside the bun and added the vegetables.

Rate:

Personally I can't rate it as I didn't try it, but I don't like steak however it might have been really good for people who do eat steak.

Opinions:

Once again I can't really give a proper opinion on this sandwich because I didn't try it :)

                    Rice paper spring rolls

Ingredients:

Rice paper, cucumber, carrot, red capsicum, noodles.

How we made it:

We cut every thing up (diced the vegetables), next we soaked the rice paper in some warm water (only for like 10 seconds) we then added everything into the rice paper roll and folded it.

Rate:

Personally I didn't wanna try it after everyone wasn't really liking it, it kinda just put me off even wanting to try it. However the rice paper didn't smell very and the texture of the rice paper was rubbery and disgusting. The noodles didn't feel like a very nice texture either.

Opinions:

I feel like if I was to ever do this again I would add something more to it such as chicken, a different sauce, etc.

~ I have added an image from google to give you an idea of what it looks like or give a similar idea ~
