Hello everybody.

Today I am here to talk about how we (Gilberthorpe School) went to Jelly park for our school play day.

We first got into groups to go in our cars we had been assigned to.Then we headed there we waited outside of Jelly park for 10 minutes.Next we got changed and off we went we got sunblock on then we raced to the pool like a pack of elephants.

20 minutes later the hydrosliding bands were brought out so we went and got one.

Half way throught we got a sasege sizzle and ice-block.

This was a very fun day and i enjoyed it.
Next time we should go to pioneer.

 This is were we audition in front of the senior hub for a chance to compete to win in front of the whole school.

Hello again today I wanted to share about kiwi can. Next week is our last week of kiwi can. I am super duber sad about this. Last week was really cool we got to make fortune teller's and play a really cool game called splat the way this game works it we are all in a circle there is a person in the middle if that person shots at you and say's splat you bob down then the two people either side of you turn and the first on to say bang to eachother wins and the other sits down.

Kiwi can

         New kiwi can leader and goodbye Katie

Hello everyone last week on Wednsday we had a very sad day we were saying goodbye to Katie.

Katie was one of our Kiwi can leader's and had been for 2-3 years.First she was with Sophie then Ricki now Reece.I think it is safe to say we will all truly miss you.

I think her favorite part was the goodbye card and cards she starting balling her eyes out.

Hello everyone Chloe here today today I will be talking about achivement and what it is.

I think achivement...means you can work up to a stage in life where you have been wanting to reach for a long time for exsample:

If you were at a stage 4 on maths and by then end of the term you want to get to leavle 5 you would try to keep on working to achive that accompleshment.

My proudest moment was...When we took in our cat jake he was a very lost kitty and we could not find his owner we dicided to keep him autho sadly he pased away in march this year he got hit by a car.

 I can show this by...Working hard in all i do and will never ever say Im giving up.I wil never let anyone say I cannot do somethink when I know I can do it.

Office laaddie

                         Office laddie for a day

 Hello everyone you are probably wondering how come you haven't posted about the famous Scott Tulloch well yesterday I wasn't at the assembly I was doing the office laddie for Penny.

I first did blog commenting then I messeged Miss Waho and asked if I can finish my 20 minute write we did last week in the old building. She did not get back to me so I just finished it quickly.

After that I was just sitting there for about 10 minutes because I had nothing to do.

The bell rang for morning tea so I went out to get some fresh air then went back inside to the office there were a few people like one had a sore stomach one had a headache.

At lunch I had an amazing help from my bff Roxy she helped with the sickbay thankyou Roxy. 

This one boy had a wicked headache and he needed to stay in the office till 1.20 just befor that we called his mum to pick him up.

At about 12.00 the sushi orders came in I had to make sure everyone had the correct order otherwise I would have got the principle to ring the sushi place to get more.It was a succsess but there was one unnamed sushi order so I hope that unamed persons sushi got to that person.

At 2.00 I came back to class and that was all I did in the office.

Moving finally

Hey everyone Chloe here and I bet you are wondering what the title of this blog post is about well you remember about the new building.Guess what I am sitting in the new hub at this very moment wow I can even begin to discribe how good I feel we moved in just after lunch look how happy I am.

I love being in here look at how happy everyone is.

Here I will be talking about how I feel and what I am scared or nevouse about the new building.

It is so nice I hope we stay in here for ever.The thing i am most nevouse for is where me and my friend will sit because there are lot of choises but when everyone is here it is full and there are limited spaces.

Hey guys it it just another Friday but it is the last day till the two week holidays.

Today we have Animal mufti where we have to come like an animal or in normal mufti we also had to bring something for an animal or gold donation.

We also have a shared lunch for a very special teacher Miss Morgan who is unfortunately is leaving.She will be working with different schools to help with computers and looks more like supporting kids in there learning.

There is one trick thing she dose not know about the shared lunch.

She has no clue.We will surprise her at lunch time.

Kia ora everyone.As you all know it is the last day till the two week holidays.

Yesterday on Thursday we went to a place called Timbernook.You can explore the little forest,run free,and there is lots more activities like wall climbing,playing with clay,getting taught how to make a pancake on a tin can.

There was three things you needed to make one you need oxygen,heat,and wax from a candle.

The whole school went.

Kia ora Chloe here back with some mathletics and this time I am working on is basic facts.My main focus is on my grouping.Mostly grouping from six and up. Here I am grouping in three and I willl now show you now.

On the side you see we have to count that so we have 9 groups of 3 I will now add to 5 down the side and then count 5,10,15 so then in still have 4 down the side I will now add that so it would be 12 more so 15+12=27

I feel as you don’t need me anymore maybe you should give me away or to the baby boy on the way.

Science experiment

Hello! It is me, Chloe, and I'm back with another blog post and this time it is a science experiment.This is an experiment that is called water cycle. I've made a list on how to do it, so here it is. I hope you try this out and give me some feedback and feed forward. I will now add some pictures of what will normally happen in a water cycle. It rains, then it will go into the river. When it's warm, water will begin to rise into the clouds  and it will repeat itself. If your wondering  how it comes up to the clouds it is  because of the evaporation and condensation.

Title: Write the title of the experiment.

Water cycle

Write what equipment you will need for the experiment.

You will need a large bowl,glad wrap,a small bowl,salt,a weight,hot boiling water.

Instructions: Write the steps of the experiment.

1.You will need the large bowl. 2.Now you will put boiling  water from the jug or tap in the large bowl. 3.Put some salt in the boiling hot water. 4.Then you put the small bowl inside of the big bowl. 5. Cover it all with glad wrap 6. Put the weight in the centre of the gladwrap, above the small bowl. 8.Now you will leave it for a good 30 mins.

Observations: Write what we will see in the experiment.

The things in this experiment that you should expect are… Water will evaporate up onto the glad wrap then it will come down into the little bowl.You should not expect the little bowl to be full in the half and hour because it will not fill in that time.

Some of these have pairs but I put them In because everyone has more than three.

A new member of the family

Hello everyone I have some very exciting news i'm getting a new baby sibling. On december the 24th we found out because it was a christmas eve present and just on friday we found out if it is a girl or a boy we were very happy when we found out what it was.We asked mum how did you find out so early she said I don't know it is just so obvious for the doctor to see.Even tho she is only 17 weeks this week she found out when she was 16 weeks normally you find out when you are 19 weeks but I guess were lucky.So you are probably what was the baby.It was a BOY i'm so excited. It is due on the 16th august. I am going to year 6 camp tomorrow and my little sister kirsty will be going baby shopping on wednesday. Also mum and dad a hooked on the name kasyn. I'm so exsied can't wait to meet you little brother.

Hello everyone its me again today im talking about what i'm learning in writing. I have been learning about different language features.

Today and for the past week we have been working on a recount that is called Port hills fire.

Today you will get to see what I have done and so here it is.

Port hills fire:

It was a beautiful wednesday morning I woke up to the smell of my dad making breakfast for me and my sister. Then I saw dad look out the window. I said “dad what are you looking at?{“ His reply was “the hills, they are  glowing and have smoke. I think it’s a fire.”

Dad walked over to the tv to watch the news.The first report that came up was called the port hills and he clicked on it.He called out to me.It was a fire.I rushed out of the bathroom where I was brushing my teeth. All I could say was oh no” those poor people.

On the tv I saw  firefighters risking their lives.I felt bad for everyone of them.The fire was like big black gust’s of smoke and a hot fire where we roast marshmallows.But it wasn't that at all.

We then woke up mum to tell her so we went in her room and she said oh no too.Mum hopped out of bed and went on her phone there were things on facebook and people praying for others lives luckily I have no friends or family up there.

The two fire’s were apart from each other by sevel killometers.It was spreading at a sped of 160m every day.The fire fighters were fighting it 17 hours each and every day.
